I got this exercise equipment at a neighbors garage sale for $10. It was called a Lifestyler Cardio something. Couldn’t make out if the word was grip or a number starting with a 900 series.

Anyway there is no instruction manual. All I know is you sit down and pull a bar towards you that brings you to a standing position and then you pull the bar away from you to be in a seated position. What does this exercise equipment do for you. Like arms, legs, etc.

The machine you’ve just bought is a Lifestyler Cardio Fit and is one of a number of “Rider” machines that we’re sold on late night TV as an all in wonder workout gizmo – the most notable among them being the Cardio Glide.

There’s really no need for a manual, all you do is sit on the machine and push with your legs on the pedals while at the same time pulling the handlebar unit towards you, and the cardio glide motion will work your legs, butt, back and biceps but not your chest, triceps or abs very well.

The movement somewhat simulates a rowing machine but will become quite tiresome  as you can’t really change the pace of the machine like you can on a rower. Plus the resistance on most riders is in the form of a hydraulic piston which can be difficult to control precisely.

For $10 bucks you didn’t do too bad, but it will probably cost you more to get rid of it when you get sick of riding it in a few weeks.
